A Sacred Peepal Tree

A Sacred Peepal Tree

A small sapling of a Peepal tree from near the temple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa at his birthplace, Kamarpukur, was planted on our college campus. Over the years, it gradually grew to nearly 30 feet in height.

On 13.11.2019, the tree was carefully relocated and replanted at Nagarkoodal village in Nallampalli Taluk, Dharmapuri District, at the proposed site of a unique pyramid-shaped temple dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa by the Sri Ramakrishna Foundation. The relocation was carried out with proper planning and utmost care to preserve the life of the sacred tree.

Today, the Peepal tree continues to grow well and has reached around 20 feet in height, symbolizing strength, continuity, and sacredness. This effort reflects the Trust’s deep commitment to the nature.
